Cromer and the surrounding area

Argyll House is on the outskirts of Cromer. It is a short walk to the nearest shop, with Morrison’s Supermarket approximately 10 minute walk away. The train station which links Cromer to Norwich and Sheringham is also a 10 minute walk.

Cromer has been a seaside fishing town since 1800, and has sandy beaches and a pier. There is a theatre on the pier, which plays host to the only “end of the pier show” left in Britain.

The town is a regional centre with the usual range of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and a cinema. It also has the tallest church tower in Norfolk at 160ft.

Cromer's coast has a unique appeal, being described as a haven of peace and tranquillity, with big skies, great skyscapes and magnificent sunsets. It is a great area for walking using the North Norfolk Coastal Footpath.

“Mental Health is the capacity to live life to the full in ways that enable us to realise our natural potentialities, and that unite us with, rather than divide us from all other human beings who make up the world”
