Other opportunities available through our reintegration Programme are:
- North Norfolk Steam Railway - Volunteers to help in the station restaurant, gardening, and as carriage Staff. All residents will be trained for individual tasks
- Lip reading Classes
- Archery
- Short mat bowls
- Flower Club
- Yoga
- Craft Club
- Residents to be involved with conservation, gardening, odd jobs and most aspects of work in various organisations.
- Cromer Learning For Life - Daytime and evening courses both recreational and vocational. Most of the courses are certificated with a minimal fee required. They cover a wide range of interests such as organic gardening, art and IT skills
- Northrepps Craft Club Northrepps Village Hall
- Bingo Roughton and Gimmingham Village Hall
- Creative Writing
- Cromer Gardening society
- Shire Horse Centre - Volunteers would need some basic knowledge of horse husbandry and could help with the horse classes. The classes will consist mainly of supporting trained staff who enable people with physical and severe mental health issues enjoy their day.
- Cromer Pavilion Theatre - Residents would need to become a friend of the theatre to become a volunteer ( £13 per year). Duties would include programme selling and ushering
- Sheringham Little Theatre - Residents would be involved helping front of house and in the coffee shop
Activities In-house
Cooking, physical activities (e.g. roller skating trips), sailing and boating, interactive group
(informal discussion group about current affairs)
, ground maintenance, Resident's group (promoting social inclusion ) e.g. visits to libraries, cinemas, local media, museums, and theatres.
The above activities and voluntary work are just a sample, and the programme is individually tailored to each resident living at Argyll House.
